McCANN VA were delighted to be part of the milestone celebration for Newry Credit Union's 60th Anniversary. The open day event, held on Saturday 24th June 2023 brought together customers, ex-directors, long-standing members, local councillors and MLAs. We provided excellent event planning and management services, ensuring the day was filled with excitement, refreshments, entertainment and heartfelt moments for all.

The goal was to ensure that every attendee had a fantastic time. To achieve this, we curated a range of activities that appealed to people of all ages and interests. Q Radio joined us, adding an interactive element to the event with music and member interviews keeping the atmosphere lively.
To keep the younger guests entertained, we set up a face painting station, bringing colour and joy to their experience.
No celebration is complete without delicious food and beverages! Working closely with caterers, we ensured a wide range of refreshments that catered to diverse tastes and preferences.
As part of the anniversary celebrations, a formal afternoon was organised that paid tribute to Newry Credit Union's achievements over the past 60 years. The afternoon included speeches from Brendan Jackson, CEO, Kevin McDonald, Chairperson and esteemed local dignitaries. It was a heartfelt opportunity to express gratitude and honour to those who played an integral role in the Credit Union's success.
